New York to London, AW14 Fashion Month Is Here!

Farewell New York Fashion Week. Hello London Fashion Week! The crème de la crème of British fashion designers have taken the catwalk by storm and we've been keeping up to date with all the latest news and photos for 2014’s autumn/winter fashion.

Last week it was New York’s turn to boast the very best from top designers for AW14, and once again two of our favourite designers: Michael Kors and Marc by Marc Jacobs showcased the hottest designs in American fashion.

Parading soft greys and stone colours with chunky knits, oversized coats and luxurious furs, Michael Kors proved his status once more at NYFW, dubbing the new range ‘Big Sur meets Big City’. With a luxurious blend of northern California with New York City chic, his new designs offer a more relaxed look for daily fashion, and I can’t wait to cosy up this autumn in attire like his chunky knits and cashmere lounge-wear.

Using these subtle greys and neutral colours as inspiration, this elegant brown ion plated bracelet watch is the perfect way to capture some of the style from the Michael Kors AW14 catwalk.  This distinctive brown ion-plated timepiece, finished with its sleek design is ideal for everyday use, set with a chronograph dial, and black sub dials, offering relaxed style in a neutral and versatile, colour palette for this autumn/winter.

Futuristic branded prints, shiny metallics and vibrant brights, the samauri and ninja infused girl power marched its way down the catwalk for NYFW to songs from Alice in Wonderland. Marc Jacobs himself sat in the celebrity ‘FROW’ to view Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier’s first season of the Marc By Marc Jacob’s label for this AW14.

Opting for quirky chic and ‘down the rabbit hole’ inspiration, we thought this animal inspired rabbit rose gold plated watch would suit this contemporary high fashion meets street style. With a rose gold plated case, cheeky rabbit design and vibrant pink strap, this fun and flirty timepiece adds a contemporary twist for your autumn/winter outfit.

London Fashion Week launched itself onto the catwalk on Friday, and we are in awe over Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label collection and Amanda Wakeley's collection.

Amanda Wakeley resumed her position at LFW on Friday, drawing inspiration for her designs from the traditional Japanese samurai, infused with the elegant geisha. Black patent leather and cinched waists showcased strong sillouhettes with a sense of fearless confidence.

This black ceramic ring formed of three twisting rings, is a perfect symbol of Wakely’s AW14 inspiration, binding strength, confidence and fearlessness together by a beautiful diamond encrusted, stainless steel bar.

Vivienne Westwood showcased her Red Label collection with strong masculine tailoring with elegant hourglass jackets and an elaborate usage of pearls, embracing a post-war glamour and making this my personal favourite AW14 collection at LFW. Westwood also incorporated tights with triangles and her iconic orange tartan print, echoing Westwood’s punk past.

This red strap watch with a stainless steel case stays in theme with Vivienne AW14 collection. The black hour hands reflect the black patent shoes worn by Westwood’s models and the elegant lace design and stone-set bezel encapsulates the post-war glamour in this timepiece for your AW14 attire.

From NYFW to LFW: masculine strength and confidence blended with elegant femininity and glamour is key through each of the designers' collections this AW14. We’re only half way through fashion month and simply cannot wait to see what Milan and Paris have to offer us for this AW14!
